Comments & Conclusions
This test sample, Zappetite with Hoodia - 110911 05/11, is not consistent with the microscopic characteristics of the reference samples of Hoodia gordonii used above & is not characteristic of a blend containing raw Hoodia gordonii aerial stem.
Conclusion: Chromatogram #2 does not show the peaks characteristics of Hoodia gordonii in the 25-55min time windows. Analyte P57 which is used as the marker compound to assess identity and quality of Hoodia gordonii can not be detected.
Note: Because of known co-elution between P57 analyte and other related steroidal glycosides, the amount of P57 in the test sample can only be estimated - actual value - will be lower than the reported value. |
